The heart of our gatherings is that every student will Know God, Grow Together and Go and Make a difference!
We call our weekly meetings Encounter because our main purpose as a group is to encounter God together. Encounter is every Sunday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with the exception of holidays and special events (check the calendar for updates). Join us for an evening of real connections, fun activities, delicious snacks, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to grow in your faith!
Who can come? Students from 6th and 12th grades.
Upcoming Events
THIS SEMESTER
This semester, our theme is community. At every encounter, we will be studying and discussing a different passage in the book of Acts, and what it means to be a biblical community today. Students will learn about praying as a community, cultivating compassion and generosity, living with boldness and integrity, serving others practically, and fostering encouragement and mentorship. Through these lessons, we aim to discover how to trust God’s timing, reconcile and forgive, and build a gospel-centered community that reflects Christ’s love and purpose in every aspect of life.
We will also be having four Community Nights. Community Nights are meant to bring the students together for extra fun activities and events. Every community night will be on a Wednesday from 6pm to 7:30pm, and there is about one community night every month. Location will definitely vary. Keep your eye on our upcoming events for more information!
Lastly, between February 2nd and May 4th, students will be able to compete in our Scripture Memorization Game. In this game, students will have the opportunity to memorize verses pertaining to community and earn Bethlehem Bucks upon reciting them for a leader at Encounter each week. At the end of the semester, students will be able to spend their Bethlehem Bucks on prizes from our Scripture Shop!
