KNOWING JESUS

True Peace is found only in Jesus Christ.

Jesus loves you – He gave himself for you – You matter to Him and YOU matter to us. His free gift of salvation delivers us from sin, into eternal and abundant life. Becoming saved or salvation is the experience of receiving God’s gift that Jesus provides. It is the initial step in becoming a Christian.

Why do I need this?

The human nature is marred with sin, and sin separates us from God. In the beginning, the first humans fell into sin (Genesis 3) and that sin has been passed down to every human since. Prior to that, God and humanity had a perfect relationship. While sin separates us from God, He loves us and desires to be in relationship with us. God made a way for us to be in relationship with Him, and it is through Jesus.

How do I receive Jesus?

In order to be saved, you must 1) REPENT of your sin, 2) CONFESS Jesus as Lord (know that He is God), and 3) BELIEVE that God raised Jesus from the dead. Below are some scriptures to help you:

God’s Conditions for Salvation:
RepentRomans 2:4 “…God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance…”
Confess Jesus as Lord – Romans 10:8-10  “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Believe wholeheartedly – Acts 16:31, “They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.’”

Prayer of Salvation

Dear Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sins. I believe that You rose from the dead. I desire to be in relationship with You. I repent of my sin, and I receive your love and forgiveness. I believe with all of my heart that you are alive and that you want to save me. I confess, Jesus, that You are Lord, and I invite You to be my Lord and Savior. I ask You to give me the grace to live each day, walking as a new person – a Christian. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
